Privacy Policy for TOEICAICoach

TOEICAICoach is a TOEIC-style practice application for English learners, available or planned for iOS and Android. This Privacy Policy applies to both mobile versions unless a platform-specific difference is stated below.

1. Information We Handle

The app does not require account registration and does not ask you to enter your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, location, microphone, camera, or health data.

The app may handle the following information:

• Learning activity stored locally on your device, including TOEIC Parts 1–7 selections, answers, practice statistics, mistake-review records, language preference, and onboarding status.
• Practice and mock-exam questions cached locally so the app can work smoothly.
• Question-generation and translation request data, including the selected TOEIC part, requested question count, explanation language, and question text, options, or explanations that require processing.
• Technical information automatically processed by third-party services, such as IP address, device or advertising identifiers, app interaction data, crash or diagnostic information, and network request metadata.

2. AI Question Generation

When the app requests new practice questions or translations, it sends the required TOEIC part, language, and question content to our Cloudflare Worker backend. The backend uses DeepSeek's API to generate TOEIC-style questions or translate explanations.

The app does not provide a free-text field for personal information and does not intentionally send your name, email address, precise location, contacts, photos, or other sensitive personal information to the AI service.

Third-party providers involved in question generation may process request metadata as part of providing and securing their services.

3. Advertising

The app uses Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob and related Google services may collect or receive information from the app and your device to provide ads, measure ad performance, prevent fraud, and comply with applicable laws.

Depending on your region, consent choices, and device settings, ads may be personalized, non-personalized, or limited. The Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) may be used to obtain and manage consent. On iOS, App Tracking Transparency may also request permission before tracking; on Android, advertising-ID controls are available in system settings.

4. Third-Party Services

The app and backend use the following third-party services:

• Google AdMob: advertising and ad measurement.
• Cloudflare Workers: backend hosting, routing, security, and request processing.
• DeepSeek API: TOEIC-style question generation and explanation translation.
• Apple services on iOS: App Store distribution, device privacy controls, and system diagnostics where applicable.
• Google services on Android: Google Play distribution and platform services where applicable.

These third parties may process data according to their own privacy policies and terms.

5. Data Storage

Questions, answers, practice statistics, mistake-review records, and preferences may be stored locally on your device. You can remove this local data by deleting the app; Android may also allow you to clear the app's storage in system settings.

The backend does not require user accounts. For abuse prevention, the backend temporarily stores a SHA-256 hash derived from the request IP address in Cloudflare KV for approximately 16 minutes. Cloudflare, Google, DeepSeek, Apple, and other service providers may retain their own logs according to their policies for security, fraud prevention, diagnostics, analytics, and legal compliance.

6. Security

Network requests are transmitted using HTTPS/TLS. We use access controls and rate limiting intended to protect the service. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Information may be shared with third-party service providers only as needed to operate the app, generate practice questions, display ads, maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

8. Children

TOEICAICoach is intended for general English-learning use and is not directed specifically to children. The app is not intended for Apple's Kids Category or Google Play's Designed for Families program. Users should use the app under the supervision of a parent or guardian where required by local law.

9. TOEIC Trademark Notice

TOEIC is a trademark of ETS. TOEICAICoach is an independent study tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by ETS or the TOEIC program.

10. Your Choices

You can:

• Delete the app to remove locally stored app data.
• Use iOS tracking controls or Android advertising-ID controls where available.
• Use the app's advertising privacy settings when Google UMP requires a privacy-options entry point.

11. International Processing

Third-party providers may process information in countries or regions other than where you live, subject to their safeguards and applicable law.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, backend, third-party services, or legal requirements change. The updated version will be identified by the latest updated date.
